Last week, year 10 had an assembly launching Work Experience Week for 2022-2023.

Last year, our Work Experience Week was hugely successful, with 120 students out on placements at local businesses and organisations and 35 students completing in-school work experience. The range of businesses and organisations our students visited included:

· Hair salon

· Primary school

· Mechanical engineering firm

· Pharmacy

· Dog kennel

· Political office

· Graphic design agency

· Construction services

· Music recording studio

· Clothing manufacturer

· Art gallery

· Café

This year, Work Experience Week has been scheduled for 27th-31st March 2023. All students have been issued with a Health & Safety form that they must return to school once they have found a work experience placement.

Students must ‘have a go’ at finding a work experience placement themselves (this is the first challenge!) however support is available in school if needed.

Students will receive a tutor time session on how to find work experience and how to reach out to employers in the coming weeks.

As ever, any questions can be directed to Miss Rowley (Careers Advisor).
